New organic adaptive childrenswear

Little Green Radicals joins Asda, and M & S with the launch of their adaptive clothing range for children.

Ethical childrenswear brand Little Green Radicals has launched an adaptive collection in collaboration with disability organisation Purple Tuesday. The collection uses 100% GOTS certified organic and Fairtrade cotton and features Little Green Radicals’ signature bright and colourful style for children aged 18 months to 8 years. It is available exclusively at littlegreenradicals.com, johnlewis.com and ethical shopping site babipur.com.

Little Green Radicals was inspired to launch the collection after being approached by a parent looking for functional and affordable organic clothing for her disabled daughter. Created in collaboration with parents from across the community and Purple Tuesday, the collection has additional features added to existing designs including easy access for tube feeding and nappy changing, flat seams and printed labels for sensitive skin, and adapted sizing for extra comfort.

Little Green Radicals photo shoots have regularly included children with disabilities, and the company is hoping to broaden the styles they offer, and also to make their website more accessible: “This is the first time we have created an adaptive collection, and we are sure that improvements and tweaks will need to be made. We hope to receive feedback from parents (both good and bad), but we didn’t want the fear of not getting it right the first time to stop us from trying, otherwise positive change will never happen”.
